The Town Hall
The Town Hall is an almost exactly circular building called in old times Palazzo Comunale (People Palace)
and is located in the Town Square. It was built in 1270 in a much smaller way and was enlarged on the whole left side during the 15th century, adding a porch with octagonal pillars, finished off with capitals decorated with large Acanthus leaves. Above the Renaissance loggia, there is a big terrace dominating the square. The facade along Corso Mameli preserves beautiful evidence of the 13th-century construction: an elegant mullioned window with a twisted column. It is possible to visit the bell tower to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Umbrian valley from the highest point in town.
