Palazzo Lepri
The building was designed by the architect Andrea Vici at the end of the 18th century and bought by the Town Hall in 1832 and became its headquarters until 1997.
It houses the municipal library, the historical archive, the art gallery, the archaeological museum, as well as an interesting Council Chamber, decorated by Mariano Piervittori who designed medallions containing portraits of famous Bevagna people, including Agostino Mattoli, the city’s first mayor. This happened during the Unification of Italy period. On the third floor, there are rooms dedicated to famous Bevagna people such as the entomologist Filippo Silvestri, the homeopath Agostino Mattoli and the film director Mario Mattoli.
