Manciano chestnuts, Trevi

In the beautiful and remote small plateau of Manciano di Trevi, a few hectares of chestnut groves survive, which generate a particularly tasty local chestnut.

The quantity produced is small, therefore it hardly reaches the market; it is the fruit of enchanting woods that contribute to designing the beauty and offer of our territory.

The Manciano chestnuts were once highly appreciated and were sold not only in the Trevino markets, but also in those of Spoleto.
During the harvest season, in autumn, it is wonderful to walk up to Manciano, enter the colorful chestnut groves and buy directly from the families who produce them, or on the fourth Sunday of the month in the town square at the Farmer’s Market where it is possible to buy chestnut packets cooked on the fire also in October, or even during the Black Celery and Sausage Market Exhibition.
