The re-enactment of August Montefalchese The re-enactments end on August 19th at the Campo de li Giochi with the “Corsa dei Bovi”, the main event during which the districts of San Bartolomeo, San Fortunato, San Francesco, Sant’ Agostino have been competing since 1988 in re-enactment of the traditional “Fuga del Bove”, the most heartfelt and most feared race in the four districts. The neighborhood with the fastest bull is awarded the hand-painted Palio.
