Frederick II City Gate
Frederick II City Gate is a gate where there is a stone slab it which represents the imperial eagles, and a clear number: 1244, which is probably the year when it has been realized.
Between the 9th and the 13th of February 1240, Frederick II and his troops stayed near Coccorone and this determined the castle’s fate, which a few years later, between 1249 and 1250, changed its name to Montefalco.
